Japanese sneaker brand opens flagship shop in Ginza

Founded as a manufacturer of split-toe socks in 1873, Moonstar later entered the sneaker market. This long-established company has always aimed to make sneakers that are easy to wear and walk in. The company is a major player in vulcanized shoe construction, which involves baking shoes in a kiln, and is done well by only a few sneaker manufacturers. In October 2018, Moonstar opened its flagship store, Moonstar Factory Ginza, in Ginza. This store offers high-quality footwear, with functionality and design, such as the basic sneakers in canvas, named the Lowbasket, the leather Lowbasket FG and the Gym Classic to add a modern spin to old training shoes-styles.
