WMV VISVIM TOKYO
Independent house type store in Nakameguro displays popular women’s line
In December 2019, VISVIM opened WMV VISVIM TOKYO in Nakameguro, which mainly sells the women’s line WMV.
The store is in a fully renovated house built in the 1970s along the Meguro River, with the pillars, beams, and roofs intact.
The designer Hiroki Nakamura worked on the interior design.
There are many highlights in the building itself, which is luxuriously decorated with traditional Japanese architectural techniques, such as the inner garden called “tsubo-niwa” created by Sadao Yasumoro, a master of garden architecture; the plastered walls by a plasterer in Kanazawa; and sliding screens at the center of the first floor, composed of a type of Japanese paper called “Ganpisi,” which is designated as an important intangible cultural property of Japan.
